   My trip to Denmark August 2009

  I landed in Copenhagen on August 17 and went

  right to  DR  Radio for an  inteview

    with Jørgen Demylius who is the Man that reports

  music over the intire Denmark.From there I went

  to Nyborg on Fyn (an Island) to check out the

 place for my first Concert on the the 21st August that

 went great.On the 18 August I went on

  5 Radiostations and finished by visiting my

 childhood freind Børge Hansen Gravesite

 he left us in 2007, that was a long day.

  On August 19th.I went to a place just

    outside Copenhagen to do a show that went great.

  on August 23 Margrethe Jacobsen had a Garden party

    for me many came by to say hi.On August 27

  I went   to north Jylland to a Radiostation

     and from there to to do a Concert in a Town

  called Farstrup.From there we went to Ålborg

   to my freinds Bente and Otto and on

   their Radiostation in Nibe.August 28th.I

   performed at "Den gamle Biograf" in Mariager

  And thanks to my good freind Marna Jensen

  we had full house.The next day I performed

   at the same place to a private B-Day Party

  On the 28th we drove to a town called Randers

  to visit an Elvis store that was great.

  August 30.I went on TV Bingo to sing a couple

  of songs after that they filmed a special 40 min.

  show about me and my life which will come out

  sometimes in the fall it will show all over Denmark.

  In all I did 5 Shows while in Denmark.I like to thank

  my good freind Margrethe Jacobsen who took/drove

  me all over the place.I left Denmark on Sept.4

  back to my home in Las vegas.

 the 4th of July outside of the United States

I opend with "Der er et yndigt land",

"The Star- Spangled Banner", "God Bless America".

 and "Dejlige Rebild Bakker". 

  I  performed two  15 min.   sets,

 singing Danish and American songs

 from Elvis to Operatic songs. 

 July 6th I performed  at Hotel Ballumhus

With many other singgers

 it was great to meet many that I only

 had heard of plus some that I knew.

That was a great evening.

I have called several Radiostations from

Las Vegas and and spoke live to their listeners

 With Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman

     I was in Bismark North Dakota from May 5th to May 8th 2006 did a Show

    was back in Denmark in August 2006 to do several Shows.

      one was at a  Hotel on the Westcoast of Denmark in Jylland on

       September 1st  2006.  

     Will be on a 10 Day Cruise from Copenhagen

 from August 10th to August 23rd.

     My 2 new CD's are done (in Danish) Plus 2 in English

 

 

In May 2003 I Performed in Atlanta for 2 days for a Scandinavian Club, great turnout. We have moved to Las Vegas I went to Denmark June 12 through  June 30 2003 to do some promotion for my new CD."DU" went on many Radio stations and got a great response. Got back to the US and started working on  a new CD. On October 11th-2003 I went back to Denmark to record my new CD which I named "Kari venter dig "that is a very old song, the CD has many old songs such as  "Den Allersidste Dans"  "Dybt i min drøm" "En dejlig dag" and many more. The sale is going very strong. On Oct. 23rd I did a Show  just outside Odense. The Show was put on By Midt Fyn Radio and Richard Lunding did the Music. We had FULL HOUSE. I visit many Radio stations plus went on TV Danmark2 in AAlborg on Oct. 25.That was great. The New CD "Kari venter dig".

 

Many articles has been written by Radio Stations about me, like Albertslunds Radio. These are written in Danish so I have to translate " Bjarne is still moving forward on DR-Dansktoppen THE Station to be on. Bjarne  has used a lot of energy and work to get to this spot that normally takes Years to get to and he doesn't even live in Denmark but in USA for more than 40 Years. Bjarne has been on this Radio list for over 14 weeks with his song "En dejlig dag"  that is fantastic. His songs are been played on many of the Local Radio stations all over Denmark. I Ole Hansen are sure we are going to hear and see a lot of Bjarne. His voice is really a gift to the Danish people. Bjarne is a great gift to DR-dansktoppen. Bjarne is something very special. Bjarne welcome to Denmark and we hope you'll win old man. Looking forward to a Beer and a big Cigar in Tivoli when you come till Sept.  2004 truly Ole Hansen Albertslunds Radio" May 4th 2004.

 

In September 2004 I went back to Denmark for a little more than 2 weeks to do a couple of shows 3 in all. I landed at the end of August and suprised my brother Boye on his 60 B-Day I had told him I would not be able to come at that time that was great with many tears flowing.  one of my Concerts was in a church just outside Copenhagen. I also did a show on Fyn that was done by the help of Radio Station Radio Midt Fyn at this Concert I had invited "The 3 Royale Tenors" That was a great Evening.People came from many parts of Denmark.The Leader  of them, John Venning his lovely wife and I went to dinner in Tivoli Garden that was awsome.I also promoted my 2 new CD's one in Danish and one in English. I also went to Ålborg on TV Station "Sifa Bingo" and many other Radio stations. I am now working on my next trip but when I dont know yet.
